Location Skala outside of the local community of Panormo, Fokidas and municipality of Dorida The property is part of a centuries-old olive grove in Lemonias Bay near the village of Panormos in Fokida. It is located at 120 meters above sea level and covers 10,689 m² (1 hectare) with 40 wild olive trees, 55 kilometers from Delphi and 22 kilometers from Galaxidi. There is an unpaved road underneath which can be used to reach the property. The property, overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Corinth, is located about 2 kilometers from the sea and offers breathtaking views of the sea and of a valley full of olive trees that have been growing there for many hundreds of years and, unaffected by human activity, retain all their valuable natural ingredients preserved in full. The oil in the region was already mined in ancient times. Although wild olive trees are less productive than industrially cultivated trees, the excellent properties of the oil are worth every effort. Its phenolic compounds are more than three times higher than the limit set by EU Regulation 432/2012 for an olive oil to be eligible for a health claim. In addition, wild olive oil consists almost entirely of oleocanthal and oleacein, phenolic compounds whose biological activity has been extensively studied. Research into additional health-protective effects of high concentrations of oleocanthal in diseases such as Alzheimer's and certain cancers is ongoing, but in fact a recent study from the University of Athens has shown that oleocanthal and oleacein have a cytotoxic effect on human cancer cells. Wild olive oil is a unique superfood. It is produced in the most natural way, is certified organic and is extracted the same day the fruits are harvested to ensure maximum quality.
